The Winterfest Preview Party on November 12 is your festive, ticketed kickoff to the season — and your only chance to experience Winterfest before anyone else. You’ll enjoy first access to the Winterfest 2026 Exhibition, our nationally curated invitational featuring leading contemporary ceramic artists, as well as early entry to the Winterfest Holiday Market, where local and associated artists offer a wide range of work.
During the Preview Party, you can explore the galleries at your own pace, connect with fellow supporters and ceramics lovers, and purchase work from both the exhibition and the market before Winterfest opens to the public. Every piece is available for same‑day purchase and pickup, giving you the rare opportunity to secure your favorite works — from high‑caliber exhibition pieces to locally made treasures — all in one evening.

Special Musical Guest – Chloe Clarke Smith
Chloe Clarke Smith is an independent artist based in Baltimore who uses her music as a vehicle for activism in order to inspire, educate, and empower young composers of color to find their own unique voice. Currently pursuing her Masters of Music at Peabody, she invites her audiences to sit with her at the intersection of classical and jazz traditions to create a whole new world.

Each winter, Baltimore Clayworks transforms into a vibrant destination for collectors, ceramic enthusiasts, and holiday shoppers seeking handmade pottery. Winterfest is our signature six‑week celebration of ceramic excellence — a unified experience that brings together a nationally recognized invitational exhibition, a bustling local ceramics market, and a festive opening night celebration.
From November 13 through December 23, our galleries and studios come alive with wheel‑thrown vessels, functional ware, and one‑of‑a‑kind ceramic gifts. Winterfest is where Baltimore’s deep love of pottery meets the national field’s most exciting voices.
