The recent Visiting Artist Workshop with David MacDonald, held on April 27th and 28th, 2024, provided attendees with an immersive experience in the art of making and decorating wheel-thrown forms. The second day of the workshop focused on decorating techniques during the leatherhard stage, with David unveiling a plethora of creative possibilities. From laying out patterns to carving intricate designs, attendees learned techniques such as slip-trailing and sprigging, elevating the surface of each piece to new heights of artistic expression.
