Visiting Artist Workshop: The Alternative Firing Experience With Vicente Garcia

In this hands-on workshop, participants will work with basic and advanced techniques designed to help develop skills in the application and alternative firing processes Vicente Garcia uses. Thorough and detailed instruction will be provided. Materials, applications, and firing techniques will be covered, and all necessary materials will be provided by Baltimore Clayworks.
About the Instructor
Vicente Garcia is a multidisciplinary artist specializing in primitive and alternative firing methods, including smoke, saggar-fire, and raku. A retired university Professor of Art with 31 years of teaching experience, he is now dedicated to his full-time studio practice and sharing his love of alternative firing processes with others.
