About this project:

Baltimore Clayworks is thrilled to be developing its second Sacred Place on its campus.  A Sacred Place is a green urban sanctuary, supported by the organization Nature Sacred, where visitors can connect with nature, themselves and others through journaling, reflection, community.  When completed, Clayworks will welcome all to enjoy this space on their own and through public arts and educational programming.

We imagine a space that ignites curiosity, sparks conversation, and joins people, nature, and clay, from their ancestral roots to their hopeful future. It will be a place for grounding and reflection, an accessible and joyful garden in which all people in our community can feel they belong.

This project is supported by Nature Sacred, Chesapeake Bay Trust, Baltimore Development Corporation, and Towson University. Baltimore Clayworks is also grateful for the support of Baltimore Community Foundation.
