June 7-21, 2025
Opening Reception: June 7, 2025 | 6:00 – 8:00 pm
Baltimore, MD – Baltimore Clayworks is thrilled to announce Clay from the Classroom, our beloved annual exhibition celebrating the remarkable talents of our students and instructors. The exhibition will run from June 7 through June 21, 2025, with a festive opening reception on Saturday, June 7, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. All are welcome to attend.
Clay from the Classroom showcases a dynamic range of ceramic art created in our studios over the past year. From functional wares like mugs, bowls, and teapots, to intricate sculptural works both figurative and abstract, the exhibition highlights the diverse techniques and creative expressions fostered at Baltimore Clayworks. Visitors will experience pieces fired in a variety of atmospheres, including low-fire Majolica, mid-temperature electric firing, and high-fire gas reduction, salt, and wood firing.
Each artwork was created under the expert guidance of our dedicated instructors whose own works will also be proudly displayed. Whether a student’s first pinch pot or an advanced exploration in sculptural form, Clay from the Classroom reflects the skill, growth, and creativity of our vibrant community.
“We are so proud to celebrate the achievements of our students and the incredible dedication of our instructors,” said Matt Hyleck, Executive Director. “This exhibition is a testament to the transformative power of ceramic arts and community.”
Join us in honoring the creativity and hard work of our students and faculty. Admission is free and open to the public.
