Baltimore Clayworks strives to provide high-quality ceramic arts instruction for the enjoyment and enrichment of all. Our educational program is led by artists who are both locally treasured and retain high national profiles in the field of ceramics. Classes are offered for beginning through advanced students. Class sizes are small and registration fees include 25 lbs of clay, glazes, bisque firings, and discounts on glaze firings, as well as free studio use at specified times. Curbside bisque may be arranged – email or call to schedule drop off. This is a fee based service based on volume of artwork being fired. 410-578-1919 or info@baltimoreclayworks.org.
See our COVID procedures. Class capacity is limited to encourage social distancing. Masks are required.
Adult Classes:
Handbuilding, Potter’s Wheel, and Sculpture are offered in addition to special interests and short focus classes, and wood kiln firing. Try-It! and Date Night! classes are each a one-time, three hour session that give the curious a chance to get their hands in clay and experiment. Try it with friends or on a date night.
Children and Youth Classes, Summer Camps:
Classes are offered regularly, and Summer Camps start filling up in January.
