This past weekend, Baltimore Clayworks had the incredible opportunity to participate in Grassroots DesignFest 2025, a one-day creative marathon where talented volunteer designers partnered with local nonprofits to bring their missions to life through design. It was a day filled with innovation, collaboration, and an inspiring exchange of ideas that will have a lasting impact on our organization.
Our team was matched with a group of passionate designers who took the time to understand our goals and vision, translating them into fresh branding and marketing materials that will help us better connect with our community. We greatly appreciate the collaborative design work of Ben Chronister, Riwa Rassi, and Amy Vu. From refining our messaging to enhancing visual storytelling, their expertise provided us with new ways to showcase the power of ceramics and the importance of creative expression.
One of the most rewarding aspects of the day was seeing the intersection of art and design come to life. Just as we believe in the transformative power of clay, the designers at Grassroots DesignFest reminded us of the impact that thoughtful design can have in shaping narratives and engaging audiences. The experience reinforced the value of collaboration and how, when artists and designers work together, the possibilities are endless.
We are beyond grateful to Grassroots DesignFest and the incredible volunteers who dedicated their time and talents to support our mission. Their generosity and creativity will help us continue to grow, share our story, and foster an even stronger community through clay.
