Baltimore Clayworks Hosts Annual Pottery Seconds Sale & Preview Party To Benefit Arts Education And Community Programs

Baltimore, MD — Baltimore Clayworks is thrilled to announce the return of its beloved Annual Pottery Seconds Sale & Preview Party, a festive weekend of community, creativity, and clay! The celebration kicks off with a ticketed Preview Party on Friday, June 6 from 6:00 – 8:30 PM, followed by two days of free, public Seconds Sale shopping on Saturday, June 7 (10:00 AM – 4:00 PM) and Sunday, June 8 (11:00 AM – 2:00 PM). 

This highly anticipated fundraising event features one-of-a-kind ceramic seconds generously donated by artists and students from across our region. All proceeds help raise critical funds to support Baltimore Clayworks’ mission to provide accessible arts education, dynamic exhibitions, and community-centered programming. 

Baltimore Clayworks aims to raise $25,000 through this year’s Pottery Sale to help ensure that all people can access and experience joy through clay. Join us in making that vision a reality!

Annual Preview Party Highlights (June 6, 2025 – Ticketed Event) 

Attendees at the Preview Party will enjoy first dibs on hand-crafted ceramic works at deeply discounted prices, accompanied by live music from Baltimore’s own Letitia VanSant. Guests can sip on beer from Union Craft Brewing and wine from The Wine Collective while savoring delicious bites served throughout the evening. The festive atmosphere offers a wonderful opportunity to mix and mingle with artists, board members, and staff in celebration of community, creativity, and clay. Tickets go on sale May 1 and are priced at $55 in advance or $65 at the door. Members receive a special discounted rate of $45 via email—become a member today and join the celebration!

About Baltimore Clayworks (BCW) 

Recognized by the National Endowment for the Arts, BCW was founded by nine artists in 1980. Our mission is to develop, sustain, and promote an artist-centered community that provides outstanding educational, residency, and collaborative programs in the ceramic arts.
