Baltimore Clayworks at 2025 American Craft Made Baltimore: A Weekend of Creativity and Community

This past weekend, Baltimore Clayworks had the incredible opportunity to participate in the 2025 American Craft Made Baltimore, the largest juried craft fair on the East Coast. Hosted at the Baltimore Convention Center, this immersive event brought together nearly 400 accomplished artists and makers, along with thousands of craft enthusiasts, collectors, and curious attendees eager to experience the artistry behind handmade goods.

As part of the Let’s Make! interactive exhibit, Baltimore Clayworks offered live demonstrations and hands-on activities that showcased the skill and process behind ceramics. Our talented artists brought clay to life, demonstrating wheel-throwing techniques and hand-building, allowing attendees to witness the artistry and dedication involved in the craft.

Our artist lineup featured an inspiring mix of resident artists, fellows, and teaching artists who engaged audiences with their unique styles and techniques. Throughout the weekend, visitors watched live demonstrations from:

  • Jeremy Wallace
  • Annie Braunschweig
  • Patrick Bell
  • Sara Hutton
  • Kristyn Rohrer
  • Keagan Yingling
  • Kashima Robinson
  • Ali Saunders
  • Wayman Scott

One of the highlights of the weekend was seeing attendees – both seasoned craft lovers and first-time visitors. Many attendees left with newfound inspiration and a better understanding of the craftsmanship that goes into each handmade piece.

Beyond the demonstrations, our team had the pleasure of connecting with fellow artists, craft enthusiasts, and supporters of the handmade movement. The energy of the event was palpable, with rich conversations about the role of ceramics in contemporary craft, the importance of preserving handmade traditions, and the growing appreciation for functional and sculptural clay art.

As we reflect on an inspiring weekend at American Craft Made Baltimore, we are filled with gratitude for our artists, supporters, and everyone who stopped by to engage with us. Events like these reinforce the importance of community, creativity, and the power of craft to bring people together.

We look forward to continuing our mission of bringing ceramic arts to the Baltimore community and beyond. Whether you joined us at the fair or are just discovering Baltimore Clayworks, we invite you to visit our studios, take a class, or attend one of our upcoming exhibitions and events.

Thank you to the American Craft Council for another fantastic event. We can’t wait to be back next year!
