Baltimore Clayworks has
work-exchange!
Would you like to take a class
but you don’t have much extra
cash? Work exchange may be for you! Work exchange is an integral
part of the Clayworks educational program. You can work for Baltimore
Clayworks in exchange for HALF of your class fee!!!. Every hour
you work for Clayworks removes $6 from your class fee. It involves
helping with evening "Supply Store," gallery, special
events, marketing, labeling envelopes, etc. Every work exchanger
must be a member donor, a student, and must commit to FOUR Sunday
afternoon clean-ups (1-2 hours each) during the term to help with
cleaning the classroom. Work exchange students are also required
to work the big cleanup at the end of the session. Because the
number of positions available is limited, if you are interested
you must Contact Mary Cloonan at 578-1919, to talk about
your availability (even if you have done work exchange in the past).
Priority is given to those with daytime hours available.
Those
interested in work exchange must attend a mandatory meeting held
the Monday before the first class of the session, in order
to be officially approved, to receive labor assignments and sign
a labor agreement contract.
All work exchange must be finished
within the session of the class taken or the student will be
billed for the remaining balance. Quick

require membership?
Baltimore Clayworks is a non-profit arts organization…
That means that Clayworks is dependent upon the financial support
of its community. Membership programs, like the minimum level of
$35, are essential to keeping our doors open. While in one of our
buildings, please take a moment and consider how the buildings,
kilns, grounds, and off-site programs are maintained. The continued
support of dedicated community members like you is the driving
force of our success. Without your help, Baltimore Clayworks would
not exist. If you are not a member of Clayworks, please consider
becoming one. By helping Clayworks, you help our community by providing
Baltimore with an excellent source for connecting art with community.
Work-exchange is a member benefit. To become
a member of Baltimore Clayworks, you may do so by visiting us at
5707 Smith Ave. Baltimore,
Maryland or calling us at (410) 578-1919
Thank you for your support!
