Contours of Belonging

Baltimore, Maryland, June 2, 2010 - Baltimore Clayworks is proud to host Contours of Belonging. A solo exhibition featuring the work of Aisha Harrison, our Lormina Salter Fellowship Artist of 2010-11. A figurative show, Contours of Belonging runs from June 25th to August 6th, 2011 with an opening reception on Saturday, June 25th, from 6 to 8 pm. Admission is free.

Solo Gallery: Tim Sherman, The Beginning. Wood-fired functional wares.

Community Arts Gallery: Creative Aging. The exhibition will feature ceramic sculpture created by senior participants under the artistic instruction of Baltimore Clayworks resident artists, Aisha Harrison and Mary Cloonan. The MetLife Foundation Creative Aging Program is funded by MetLife Foundation and administered by the National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts.

Baltimore Clayworks is a not-for-profit ceramic art center located in the Mt. Washington neighborhood in northwest Baltimore. Founded in 1980, Clayworks is housed in two reclaimed and renovated buildings located across the street from one another.  This organization offers classes, artists’ spaces, exhibitions, and programs throughout the community.  Hours are 10am – 5pm, Monday through Saturday.  For more information call Baltimore Clayworks at 410-578-1919 or visit our website,
