Clay From the Classroom
The 13th Annual Exhibition Showcasing the Talents and Triumphs of our Students

Baltimore Clayworks features our students from the past year with the exhibition Clay from the Classroom. This exhibition runs from June 6th through June 20th. Admission is free.

The work on display will be a strong representation of our students from Fall of 2008 to the Spring of 2009. Showcased will be wheel-thrown functional ware, hand-built sculpture and figures created by children and adults. A variety of finishing techniques are employed; high and low-fire glazes, wood, salt and raku firing. All work has been created on-site in Mt Washington and at our satellite studio at Pimlico Road Arts and Community Center through the classes offered for beginners and advanced student-artists at all stages of life.

The exhibition will be shown in the suite of galleries at Baltimore Clayworks, a not-for-profit ceramic art center located in the Mt. Washington neighborhood in northwest Baltimore. Founded in 1980, Clayworks is housed in two renovated buildings, and offers classes, artists' spaces, exhibitions and programs in the community. Hours: Mon- Sat, 10 am to 5 pm. For more information, call Baltimore Clayworks at (410) 578-1919 or visit or 5707 Smith Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21209.
