Baltimore Clayworks presents
Contemporary Ceramics from Wales
Art Exchange Exhibition between Wales and Baltimore

Baltimore, Maryland – June 10th, 2008 –Baltimore Clayworks Community Arts Gallery hosts the exhibition, Contemporary Ceramics from Wales. This exhibition is traveling from the Lee Arts Center in Arlington, VA from the Llantarnam Grange Arts Center in Cwmbran, Wales, features contemporary ceramics by eight Welsh artists. Featured exhibiting artists are: Duncan Ayscough, Sam Bakewell, Melanie Brown, Lowri Davis, Morgen Hall, Catrin Howell, Walter Keeler, Claudia Lis. This exhibition runs from August 9th through September 18th, 2008 with an opening reception on Saturday, August 9th, from 6 to 8 pm. Admission is free.

Llantarnam Grange Arts Centre is the regional centre for the Applied Arts in South East Wales. It occupies a 19th Century Victorian manor house situated in the heart of Cwmbrân Newtown. It specializes in contemporary Applied Arts, presenting a changing program of temporary exhibitions and runs an extensive education program focused on the local communities of South East Wales.

Baltimore Clayworks is a not-for-profit ceramic art center located in the Mt. Washington neighborhood in northwest Baltimore. Founded in 1980, Clayworks is housed in two renovated buildings, and offers classes, artists' spaces, exhibitions and programs in the community. Hours are 10 am to 5 pm, Monday through Saturday.
