WHAT WE ARE... a
non-profit ceramic art center housed in two historic buildings in
Baltimore, established in 1980. For more details, click here.
WHAT
WE DO... teach
24 classes per week; hold exhibitions; rent studio space; sell clay art, and functional pottery;
fire gas, electric, and raku kilns; conduct workshops; host
visiting artists; provide resources on technical issues and
ceramic art health information; grant an annual emerging artist
fellowship; and more.
WHO WE ARE... 13 resident
studio artists, 39 associate and alumni artists, 900 students,
more than 20 work-exchange, 27 board members, 100 volunteers,
12 staff members...men, women, and kids of many ages and cultural
backgrounds.
WHERE WE ARE... in Mt.
Washington Village, in the northwest corner of the city; 2 miles
southeast of I-695 exit 22; or 1/4 mile northwest of the Northern
Pkwy/Falls Road exchange of I-83; or one short block west of

WHEN WE ARE OPEN... regular business hours are 10 am to 5 pm, Monday through Saturday (Closed Sundays). Our classrooms are open in the evening for classes.
 The programs of Baltimore Clayworks are supported in part by grants from the Maryland State Arts Council, an agency funded by the State of Maryland and the National Endowment for the Arts. Programs are also made possible in part through generosity of the Baltimore County Commission on Arts and Sciences, numerous private foundations, and many concerned individuals.
 Baltimore Clayworks' community-based programs for youth and senior adults are supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts, which believes that a great nation deserves great art. Additional support comes from the ARTVantage program of the Maryland State Arts Council and several private philanthropic entities
