Baltimore Clayworks was fortunate to host the dynamic duo of Bernadette Curran and Krista Grecco for an intensive two-day workshop on human and animal forms. A tremendous amount of information was imparted by each artist, wheel and hand-building techniques that benefited students who favored either technique and revealed the possibilities allowing for experimentation.

The tandem workshop highlighted the individual artist’s skills which dovetailed nicely together, their ideas and processes propelling and enhancing the workshop. A wide variety of art references were touched upon from all media and historical periods, demonstrating a great knowledge of the realm of art.

Surface, volume, proportion, gesture and structural concerns were all addressed while bringing in a playful quality without careening into the saccharine. The students left enthused, energized and inspired, wishing it was more than two days.
