Our time at Pimlico Road Arts and Community Center came to an end June 1, 2010 after three years of wonderful youth, adult and senior adult clay programming.

Please stay tuned for a new satellite location for fall 2010 programming. Until then, please see our Jubilee Arts location for classes!

Senior Adult’s Clay Program

Fee: $10 per 8 week class. Includes all materials.

  • Bizarre Like Avatar (ages 10-13)
    The 3D movie Avatar and surrealist artist Salvador Dali are sources of inspiration as we create our own imaginative worlds of bizarre creatures. Learn the differences and similarities of 2D and 3D sculptures.

    An all functional pottery class...things we can use! We will use the coil, pinch, slab, and mold techniques.

  • Mobiles: Creating Moving Sculpture With Clay (Ages 6-9)

We Can Do It!
Workshops for Adults and Children

Baltimore Clayworks invites young people to bring along a special adult for an afternoon of art-making! Each adult may accompany up to two young people ages 6-17. More than one adult may attend with a child. Fee: $5 per person. Includes all materials.

    Explore the unlimited possibilities of coil, slab and pinch! Slip and score together to create a collaborative piece.

Classes For adults

All adults come on out and try your hands at ceramics! In these workshops you create a mosaic or hand built clay piece in two weeks. All materials included. Students are encouraged to bring in found objects and tiles for mosaic.

Fee: $50, two weeks

  • A Chip Off The Old Block
    Create your own mirror and mosaic frame in 2 weeks or 4 week sessions

Adult Workshops
Pimlico Road Open House

In continuing our collaboration with our Pimlico Road Satellite Studio, Baltimore Clayworks is proud to host our Pimlico Road Open House. Work from our fall 2009 and winter 2010 sessions. Work will be on display for family and friends to come and enjoy, snacks and refreshments will be provided. Work can be picked up after 12:00 pm.
