Teaching Clay to Children

Date/Time: Saturday & Sunday, 10 – 4pm, January 23 & 24
Fee: $120 Members; $140 non-members
- This intensive weekend workshop will provide art educators the foundation needed to teach clay to children. Basic ceramic techniques will be discussed and demonstrated, promoting the development of hand building skills: pinch, coil and slab construction. Participants will use commercial materials and homemade tools to enhance the projects. Teachers will have a hands-on experience with take-home projects and hand-outs that may be modified to fit any age group.
