In this 12-week class for all skill levels, students will enjoy an enriching and supportive environment in which they will learn fundamental hand-building techniques. Participants will utilize methods which will include coil building, pinching of closed forms, inner and outer slab construction and manipulation which will build skills and confidence to construct a range of forms. Students will also explore the use of simple one piece press molds for foundational tile making and low-level relief. All forms of expression will be encouraged including figurative, functional or abstraction.
